ºÚÁÏÍø awarded £14 million for new ward

ºÚÁÏÍø is delighted to have been awarded £14 million of investment from the national Elective Recovery Fund to build an additional inpatient ward. The new ward will help the Trust increase the number of elective procedures to reduce waiting times for patients. Drop off only at ºÚÁÏÍø District Hospital Accident and Emergency

Vehicle access to ºÚÁÏÍø District Hospital’s Accident and Emergency (A & E) Department has changed to ‘drop off’ only.  This change has been made to improve access for Ambulances and applies to the approach ramp as well as the area immediately outside A & E.  Previously, it had been possible to park on the ramp but this is no longer allowed.

Statement on the charging of Mr Mansoor Khan

ºÚÁÏÍø Foundation Trust can confirm that Mr Khan has worked at the Trust as a Plastic Surgeon since 2009.  He has been suspended from work since August 2021. The Trust has been reassured by the National Crime Agency investigation team that none of the charges relate to Mr Khan's clinical work at ºÚÁÏÍø District Hospital.
